Watch Setup: Quartz movement
For watches with the VK63 movement:
Thank you for trusting us to build your new watch. We would like to help you get familiar with your hand built watch and explain how to set it up.
Movement: Our watches feature the hybrid VK63 chronograph movement. They are battery powered and do not require winding like our automatic movements.
Setting the date and time: If your watch has a date window, unscrew the middle crown by turning it toward you until it pops out. Then gently pull the crown outward until you feel it click into the first position. Turn the crown clockwise, away from you, to set the date. To set the time, pull the crown outward until it clicks into its outermost position. Now turn the crown clockwise, away from you, to set the time. Please note that you should only rotate the crown clockwise in this position when setting the time. Rotating it counterclockwise in this position may cause unnecessary strain and reduce the longevity of the movement.
Securing the crown: Once you have finished setting up your watch, push the crown inward and rotate it clockwise, away from you, until it is fully screwed down and secure. This is necessary to make sure the crown is completely closed.
Second hand: Please note that the third hand, the one with the arrow tip, does not function as a typical second hand. It is actually used for the chronograph feature of this watch, which is why it remains stationary at the 12 o clock position when the chronograph is not in use. The actual second hand is located in the lower subdial.
Using the chronograph: To use the chronograph feature, first unscrew the top and bottom chronograph pushers. Use the top pusher to start and stop the chronograph, and the bottom pusher to reset it back to its original position.
After using the chronograph, please make sure to screw the pushers back in firmly. If the watch is going to be exposed to water, it is essential that the pushers are fully screwed down, as this helps prevent water from entering the mechanism and ensures that the watch is properly sealed.
For watches with the VK64 movement:
Movement: Our watches feature the hybrid VK64 chronograph movement. They are battery powered and do not require winding like our automatic movements.
